CNPA offers equipment grants to member schools

It is time to apply for California Newspaper Publishers Association Foundation equipment grants if you need something for your program.

The CNPA Foundation each spring provides equipment grants for CNPA-member campus newspapers to upgrade their newspaper production equipment. Only CNPA’s high school- and college-member newspapers may apply.

There is no minimum grant amount. The maximum grant in 2009 is $1,500. The equipment can include any item that helps students to produce and disseminate content. Examples include computer hardware and software, peripherals such as scanners and printers, and tools such as digital cameras, audio and video recorders, and related software.

Applications are being accepted now and are due before April 24. Awards are distributed in May.
